He married Herriet Donaldson in Black Nuir, Dunnichen, ANS, Scotland, July 28, 1829. Herriet was born in Dunnichen, Ans., Sct. February 16, 1804. Herriet died January 21, 1880 in Kingsmuir, Forfar, ANS, Scotland, at 75 years of age.

William Fettes and Herriet Donaldson had the following children:

6 i. Harriet³ Fettes was born in ANS, Scotland April 24, 1830. She married Alex Michie in ANS, Scotland, est. 1852.

7 ii. William Fettes was born in ANS, Scotland November 30, 1831. William died May 28, 1835 in Dunnichen, Ans., Sct., at 3 years of age.

8 iii. Agnes Fettes was born in Dunnichen, Ans., Sct. July 8, 1833. Agnes died February 21, 1860 in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, at 26 years of age. Her body was interred February 24, 1860 in Kirkwall Presbyterian Church C. She married Alexander McPhail in Proton Twp., Ont., Can., est 1857. Alexander was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Arg., Sct. March 14, 1831. Alexander was the son of Dugald McPhail and Christina McCallum. Alexander died 1900 in Proton Twp., Ont., Can., at 69 years of age.
