Dugald & Christina McPhail
Dugald McPhail & Christina McCallum emigrated from Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland to Wentworth Co., Beverly Twp, Ontario, Canada, in June 1847, along with most of their living children, which included my great, great grandfather Alexander McPhail, who was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland, March 14, 1831.
Alexander married Agnes "Anna" Fettes in Ontario, Canada. "Anna" was born in Dunnichen, Ans., Sct. July 8, 1833. They had 2 children Archibald and William McPhail. "Anna" died when she was 27 years old. A few years later Alexander married Jean Jack and they had 10 children (See family tree).Archibald McPhail, my great grandfather was born in Ontario, Canada on August 06 1858 and emigrated to the USA when he was about 20 years old. He met and married my great grandmother Mary Foster in New York State.The family tree information can be found on the McPhail Clan Web Site. |
