I am the g-granddaughter of Sarah Jane McPhail. She was born to Archibald McPhail and Rebecca Watson. she was born in Grayson, Texas, but they were from Arkansas. He fought in the Civil War with the Texas State Troops. I am seeking information about Archibald and his family. Any information would be appreciated.

Does anyone else connect with John McPhail and Elizabeth Drummonds's children :- Archibald, Donald,John, Peggy, Magret, and Angus,born between 1812 and 1823 Killen, Perth, Sct. Archibald (b1812) maried Jane (Jean) McFarlane of Arrochar, Dumbarton, Sct . in 1846. They had 4 children before Jane died Loch Lomond 1854, aged 30 yrs. The children were John McMurrick, George, Andrew and Agnes Smith and were all born Tarbert.In 1863 father Archibald and sons John and George came to Australia: In 1873 Andrew and Agnes Smith emigrated as well. I would like to link with any other McFarlane or Mc Phail family descendants. I believe Jane McFarlane may have had a brother George who was a Registrar of the Pooor and died in 1924 aged 92, Closeburn. I have a name "Coilah" as a place near Loch Lomond that I believe has a connection with the McFarlane family. Thanks for any help, Beryl, Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia
