My greatgrandfather, John McMurrick McPhail, came to Australia 1863, aged 16. He was with his father Archibald (42) and brother George (14).Sister Agnes Smith McPhail and Brother Andrew followed to Australia in 1876. Archibald's wife, Jane McFarlane had died,Lock Lomond, aged 30yrs, in 1854 and I understand that the MacFarlane family have a connection to "Coilah" Tarbet, Dunbarton and that Jane may have had a brother George McFarlane who was a Registrar and Visitor of the Poor, when he died aged 92, in 1924. I would like to contact amy other McFarlane descendant. Archibald McPhail, b 1812 Killen Perth. had siblings, Donald, John, Peggy, Magret and Angus, born between 1814 and 1823. Are there any descendants of these McPhails who are interested in the Australian branch? Also aboard the ship "Fifeshire" 1876 to Queensland, was a John Macfarlane ,28, who shared a cabin with Andrew and Agnes McPhail.
