My husbands family are decendents of Dennis and Joel Lockling (Maclachlan) of Scotland My husbands family information seems to stop there. I dont know if his family is of your Maclachlans or not. What I do know it that Dennis came to america approx. 1703 and settled near Bolton Mass. I dont know what became of Joel. Dennis sailed his ship between america, scotland,england and the west indies. He had a son James that I was told died on one of his trips. Late in Dennis life he left the states to return to scotland. He was never heard from again. Dennis married a Sarah Wilson b. 9-9-1644 they had two sons that I know of. If any of this sounds familiar to you I would greatly appreciate any info. you may have. I have plenty its just the prior 1703 that I have nothing. I hope we are able to help each other. I look forward to hearing from you.
