Re the message about the MacKellar family buried in Kilmichael Glassary, I am a descendant of Peter Mackellarwho I believe was a shoemaker borm in Kilmichael we think in 1771, married Jane McArthur in 1803 and died between 1841-1851. I am descended through his son also Peteer born 1825? in Kirnanmore, and I wonder if there is any connection. This research was done by an cousin now dead, but I recognised the name immediately!

Separaately, I live in Kilmartin where we have just produced a souveneir calendar with old photos of the area and are having an exhibition shortly of mor old photos - does anyone out there have any old photos of their relatives in the area which we could copy for the interest of the folk here? If so please let me know

I have been able to trace my 4th Great Grandfather to Argyllshire, Scotland. His name is Solomon McCall (pretty certain it was spelled with an A not an O). Unable to obtain any info on him prior to coming to America circa 1760's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
