lois, I have an incomplete set of MI's for the name Gillies (taken by myself on a rainy day!) for Kilmartin. graveyard. I have several John Gillies' listed, but not as far back as you are looking for. There are about 65 names on the list. re: Torranmore. There is a group of houses named Torran just north of Ford village on the B840 road. Ford village is about 3 miles from Kilmartin. Mor is Gaelic for big. On a general subject, I am willing to do short searches, and take transcripts of post 1855 births, deaths and marriages for the Gillies' name only, if you have enough re names dates etc.
