Malcolm Leach (b. 1755 in Kilmartin) married Margaret Lamont (Lammond) 2-8-1780 in Argyleshire; had son Angus (b. 1787?). Later immigrated to N.C. I am looking for parents of Malcolm and Margaret.

I would be grateful for any references to McVeans in Kilmartin that anyone comes across.In particular I am looking at Alexander McVean and his wife Mary (nee Muir) who live at Portalloch in 1871 and 1881 (not in the big house - he is a Wood Cutter!)They marry at Glassary in 1853.
