I can trace my father's paternal line back to a William SMITH b. abt.1740 who married Rachel CURRIE 1764 in Kilmartin.One of their sons was Peter, a wright in Carnesserie.Peter's son was Angus b.1804 in Kilmartin. He was a carter. I am also looking at the MCPHAILs and DEWAR lines in Kilmartin, Lochgilphead, Castleton and Sivercraigs. Any one else researching these names?
