He married Christina McIntyre Bef 1886. Christina was born April 15, 1857.

Duncan Gillies and Christina McIntyre had the following children:

8 i. Alexander³ Gillies. Alexander died 1940.

9 ii. Annie Gillies. Annie died in Minnesota. She married ? McGagherty.

10 iii. Grace Gillies. Grace died 1945 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

11 iv. Mary Gillies.

12 v. Duncan Gillies was born January 16, 1887. Duncan died October 03, 1900 at 13 years of age.
