39. Robert⁴ McPhail (John³, Dugald², Archibald "Maclachlin"¹) was born in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada February 16, 1872. Robert died 1908 at 36 years of age.

He married Isobella McPherson. Isobella was born May 14, 1874. Isobella died April 06, 1941 at 66 years of age.

Robert McPhail and Isobella McPherson had the following children:

58 i. Helen G.⁵ McPhail was born August 20, 1900. Helen died February 30, 1984. She married Harold Chamberlain. Harold was born November 24, 1896. Harold died January 30, 1982 at 85 years of age.

59 ii. Gladys R. McPhail was born 1902. Gladys died May 19, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at 81 years of age. She married Alfred William Perry. Alfred was born 1902. Alfred died 1964 at 62 years of age. (See Alfred William Perry for the continuation of this line.)
