4. John R² McLeod (Allyn¹) was born in Messina, New York June 09, 1825. John died July 27, 1908 in Epoufette, Michigan, at 83 years of age. His body was interred July 29, 1908 in Epoufette, Michigan.

He married twice. He married Laura Messenger in Mackinac Island, Michigan, 1859. Laura was born est 1835. Laura died February 1864 in Epoufette, Michigan, at 28 years of age. He married Caroline Goudreau in Epoufette, Michigan, 1871. Caroline was born December 29, 1850. Caroline was the daughter of Amab Goudreau.

John R McLeod and Laura Messenger had the following children:

5 i. Jennie³ McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan bef 1864. She married Williams.

6 ii. Laura McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan bef 1864.

7 iii. Alexander McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan bef 1864. Alexander died est 1877 in Epoufette, Michigan. Died in his teens

John R McLeod and Caroline Goudreau had the following children:

8 iv. Bridget McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan November 15, 1872. Bridget died March 07, 1955 at 82 years of age. She married Jesse J Derusha est 1891.

9 v. Mary B "Mollie" McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan November 25, 1874. Mary died September 11, 1966 at 91 years of age. She married William M. "Bill" Derusha est 1895.

10 vi. Jack McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan March 27, 1878. Jack died July 11, 1922 at 44 years of age. He married Estelle ? est 1899.

11 vii. Belle McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan March 17, 1881. Belle died November 1967 at 86 years of age. She married George Wixson est 1900.

12 viii. Alexander McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan November 09, 1883. Alexander died June 07, 1973 at 89 years of age. He married Ethyl Sweet est 1906.

13 ix. Betsey McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan January 07, 1884. Betsey died February 22, 1971 at 87 years of age. She married Charles McPhail est 1904.

14 x. Sara McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan March 29, 1888. Sara died December 14, 1967 at 79 years of age. She married Richard Parcels in Epoufette, Michigan, 1907. Richard was born in Michigan June 30, 1887. Richard was the son of Allyn David Parcels and Elizabeth Ann Lowe. (See Richard Parcels for the continuation of this line.)

15 xi. Eunice McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan August 28, 1891. Eunice died February 03, 1970 at 78 years of age. She married John R Stevenson est 1910.

16 xii. Fidele McLeod was born in Epoufette, Michigan May 27, 1895. Fidele died July 01, 1977 at 82 years of age. She married Earl Cook est 1915.
