47. William John⁵ McPhail (Archibald⁴, Alexander³, Dugald², Archibald "Maclachlin"¹) was born in Drummond Island, Cheboygan, Michigan May 9, 1885. William died January 24, 1956 in Fort Steilacoom, Wa., at 70 years of age. His body was interred January 27, 1956 in New Tacoma Cemetary.

He married Rowena May Parcels in Point St Ignace, Micigan, July 4, 1911. Rowena was born in Beaver Island, Michigan October 3, 1891. Rowena was the daughter of Allyn David Parcels and Elizabeth Ann Lowe. Rowena died June 21, 1940 in Tacoma, Washington, at 48 years of age.

William participated in the Hospitalized event November 12, 1955 in Western State Hospital. Brain cancer from smoking cigarettes. He also had cancer on his lip and the tip of his nose.

William John McPhail and Rowena May Parcels had the following children:

63 i. Lucille⁶ McPhail was born in Hinsdale, Montana January 3, 1913. She married Robert Siburg. Robert was the son of Josephine ?. Robert died August 10, 1983 in Tacoma, Washington. (See Robert Siburg for the continuation of this line.)

64 ii. Mildred I. McPhail was born in Couer D'alene, Idaho November 19, 1914. Mildred died April 13, 1976 in Tacoma, Washington, at 61 years of age. She married Ronald Beell est 1936. Ronald was the son of Elizabeth ?. (See Ronald Beell for the continuation of this line.)

65 iii. Dorothy May McPhail was born in Spokane, Washington October 30, 1916. Dorothy died February 11, 1993 in Tacoma, Washington, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred February 16, 1993 in Tacoma, Washington, Mountain View Memorial Park. 66 iv. Isabelle Mary McPhail was born in Couer D'alene, Idaho November 3, 1918. Isabelle died February 26, 1974 in Tacoma, Washington, at 55 years of age. She married twice. She married Douglas Earl Liedke in Tacoma, Washington, est 1947. Douglas was born December 21, 1905. Douglas is the son of Ernest Augustus Liedke. He was the best man at Alice Clarice Morris and William John McPhail's wedding in Tacoma, Washington, August 30, 1941.
