3. Dugald² McPhail (Archibald "Maclachlin"¹)⁽²⁾ was born in Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland 1796. Dugald died January 17, 1886 in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, at 89 years of age.

He married Christina McCallum in Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland, May 20, 1822. Christina was born in Stockhvullin, Argyle, Scotland 1801. Christina was the daughter of Alexander McCallum and Ann Jackson. Christina died 1876 in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, at 75 years of age. She migrated June 1847. He was tentant farmer at Euroch Farm, Kilmartin parish, and head shepherd for his landlord, the Malcolms of Poltalloch and Dunroon Castle ( the longest inhabited castle in Scotland ). Col. Malcolm showed the records of Euroch Farm to Dugald's great grandson, John Mcphail in 1975.

She married Duncan Gillies in Glasgow, Sct., June 24, 1843. Duncan was born in Craignish, Argyll, Scotland 1812. 7 ii. Archie McPhail was born in Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland May 19, 1825. Archie died December 19, 1835 in Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland, at 10 years of age.

8 iii. Lily McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland January 31, 1827. Lily died January 23, 1915 in Carberry, Man., Canada, at 87 years of age. She married Malcolm Mclaren in Galt, Ont. Can, February 11, 1850. Malcolm was born in Sterlingshire, Scotland 1812. Malcolm died 1898 in Carberry, Man., Canada, at 86 years of age. 9 iv. Sara McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland March 11, 1829. Sara died December 04, 1918 in Wales, at 89 years of age. She married Donald Jackson abt 1850. Donald was born abt 1826.

12 vii. Margaret McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland April 18, 1835. Margaret died May 1835 before in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland.

13 viii. Margaret McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland May 24, 1836. Margaret died 1929 MAN., CAN, at 93 years of age. She married James Brown Mitchell in Ontario, Canada, February 02, 1859. James was born Poss. Ontario, Canada 1835 est.

14 ix. Archie McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Argyll., Scotland August 28, 1838. Archie died September 23, 1841 in Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland, at 3 years of age.

15 x. Mary McPhail was born in Euroch, Kilmartin, Arl., Sct. March 08, 1841. Mary died November 01, 1920 Egremont Twp., ONT., CAN., at 79 years of age. She married William Fettes in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada, January 24, 1865. William was born Muir of Lownie, Dunnichen, ANS., SCT. June 26, 1835. William was the son of William Fettes and Herriet Donaldson. William died January 16, 1900 Egremont Twp., ONT., CAN., at 64 years of age. (See William Fettes for the continuation of this line.)
