1. Robert Smith¹ McHardy was born in Proton Station, Ont., Can. April 25, 1879. Robert died March 25, 1955 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at 75 years of age.

He married Jean McPhail in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, May 1918. Jean was born in Proton Station, Ont., Can. October 30, 1889. Jean was the daughter of Alexander McPhail and Jean Jack. Jean died December 28, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at 55 years of age.

Robert Smith McHardy and Jean McPhail had the following children:

2 i. Annie Christina "Betty"² McHardy was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada November 28, 1919.

3 ii. Peter MacPhail McHardy was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 06, 1926.
