My ggg grand mother was Effie McPhail or Euffen McFail probably born about 1749 , married in Campellton 12 aug 1769 to Hector McMillan who was a stonemason in Clachan, Kintyre,Argyll.Both are buried in Clachan. An IGI record shows an Effie Mcphail b abt 1749 - father Joh McDonald - mother Effie McPhail. Any connections?

Ellen May MacPhail b. 10-10-1866 in Halifax; d. 7-5-1950 was my grandmother's mother. She moved to Boston and I think had no contact with her Canadian family.
