I am researching a new lead that my ancestral grandfather Archibald "MacLachlin" McPhail b. est. 1762, was born on July 28, 1763 to Alexander McPhail ( spelled McFaill in the Kilmartin Registry ) and Margaret McTavish. When Archibald married Lillias McKenzie in April 09, 1792, the Kilmartin Marriage Registry listed him as Arch'd McFail.
With knowing that McPhail was also spelled McPhaill, I checked McFaill and found Archibald MCFAILL Sex: M Event(s): Christening: 28 Jul 1763 Kilmartin, Argyll, Scotland Parents: Father: Alexander MCFAILL Mother: Margaret MCTAVISH .
Alexander McPhail & Margaret McTavish also have these children: Anne McPhail born July 22, 1747 in Kilmartin, Neill McPhail born Oct. 26, 1753 in Kilmartin, Margaret McPhail born Oct. 11, 1755 in Kilmartin.
Is there anyone reseaching these names?
